July TCOAAR Progress


Hello everyone, Graveyard Shift here with an update on where we are at with production on TCOAAR.
Updated Production Pipeline
We will start off with the good news. Act 1 of episode 2 (The first third of the chapter) is complete, playable and currently being privately tested by our QA team!
The updated production pipeline we have adopted has already sped up how quickly we can put chunks of gameplay together for testing. This has been showing promise as a viable way for production at Graveyard Shift moving forward.
Recruitment
Many of you may have seen that this month we posted a few new artist position openings. This was due to a fair number of our artists already working on the project having had personal life events which have impeded their ability to participate in the project. We fully support our artists and their personal lives as this is a volunteer project made by fellow fans of TCOAAL.
Because of this, asset production hit a bit of a slump in productivity so we opened up a few extra slots for artist participation as a way to compensate for the loss. We have since already gone through the interview process with a number of artists and they have already contributed to the project. There are still slots open and available for those who apply as we continue to interview candidates.
Overall Progress
As an update, currently our artwork ( CG’s, maps, UI, sprites, busts) is at 60 percent and climbing. Many of our artists have been tag-teaming scenes between sketches, inks, color and texture in order to produce the assets as quickly and as qualitative as we can.
The coding team has been working on the testable sections of gameplay as we mentioned at the top of the update. And the Writing team is already working on the story spine for Episode 3(Both A and B).
