TCOAAR/Willows Devlog June

An update for June
TCOAAR/Willows Devlog June

Willows

Great news on the Willows front! We’ve just wrapped up all of the master script for chapter 1 of the project. With this we now know every bit of dialogue, art assets, puzzles, and audio that will be needed for the game!

The art team has completed approximately 1/3rd of all the assets needed for the game release. The team has ramped up production drastically with the script now solidified.

The coding team has also been working diligently to catch up with the writing and art teams, and the music team is already recoding and editing sounds.

What all of this means is that we are looking to launch the game on Steam and Itch in the next few months. We don’t have any definitive dates yet, but know it won’t be too much longer.

We will also be posting an updated demo for the game to both platforms within the coming two months. This is so the game can start to be wish listed on Steam once we have the release date solidified.

This is great news for the project as well as the team. We appreciate all of the support we have received and wouldn’t be where we are with the projects without it.

Now I know many people will wonder what this means for TCOAAR. For the time being the members who are part of the Willows team are “All hands on deck” to get the project launched. The group is comprised of a number of people who typically would work on TCOAAR. So this means that Willows will release to the public before episode 3 of TCOAAR. This decision was made because the writing for Willows is further along than our writing for episode 3.

We hope you will enjoy what we have in store. See you next month!

TCOAAR

On the Tcoaar side, we’re going to be honest that work is slower than normal at this juncture. It is currently exam period for a great many people around the world, and during this time, there is only so much we can expect people to contribute to a non-profit endeavour during this time. Work is still proceeding at a steady pace, but we won’t deny that it is not currently the fastest it’s ever been.

We do note that there is appreciation of the work that we are doing, and we will continue to update you as things progress. We will have a more substantive devlog with more information next time, so stay tuned!

That’s about it for us. While I’m sorry to say we don’t have any further screenshots we are ready to share just yet. We hope that, in place of that, you appreciate this nice piece of promotional artwork.
