Gutenberg Edition released

Alexandria v0.1.0 is in production
Gutenberg Edition released

The v0.1.0 Alexandria app, Gutenberg edition, has been released by the GitCitadel project team, and is in production on https://alexandria.gitcitadel.com, replacing the alpha version that had been hosted there since June of 2025. The development of the “Euler” edition can be followed-along on https://next-alexandria.gitcitadel.com, which is our development staging area.

Work began on the precursor to this project “Indextr” in August 2023, it was moved to “Alexandria” in June 2024, and we are happy to release this Gutenberg edition in January of 2026 — nearly 2.5 years later. We have been working on this project, continuously and steadily, in addition to spinning up an entire platform of sibling apps, custom relays, and supporting DevOps.
gc-alexandria repo: commit historyIf you are unfamiliar with the goal of our project, we encourage you to read the Project Alexandria article, which can be viewed on the web page of the application it describes. You can also see an overview of the core functionality on our Getting Started page.

The release note for v0.1.0 is on Nostr. We will soon be posting our road map for the Euler edition there (so make sure to follow GitCitadel!), but we are already working on the first epic: a specialized and dedicated relay for publications (books, journals, blogs, etc.).
