Publishing Brick by Brick: Building a Sovereign Life on Bitcoin marks more than a milestone. It’s the reflection of a multi-year transformation, physical, mental, digital, and philosophical. It is the proof that living a sovereign life in a fiat world is not theory. It is practice.
When I began this journey, I didn’t intend to write a book. I was searching for truth, why my effort lost value, why modern health declined despite more “wellness,” and why people traded freedom for convenience. Bitcoin became the key that unlocked these answers, and eventually, the foundation on which I rebuilt my life.
From Fiat Food to Human Fuel
In early 2025, I made a radical shift in my health. After years of following mainstream advice from Big Food and Big Pharma, I adopted a clean carnivore and mild ketogenic lifestyle. The results were profound: more than 17 kilograms of fat lost, better focus, sharper thinking, and more energy, the kind of energy I needed to write Brick by Brick and to live it.
“Health is the first pillar of sovereignty. You cannot think freely if your body runs on the fuel of dependency.” - Brick by Brick
This transformation reminded me that real food and real freedom are connected. Both require effort, discipline, and rejecting what is convenient in favour of what is true.
From Owning Junk to Owning Freedom
Throughout 2025, I stripped my life down to its essence. I sold or donated everything unnecessary, limiting myself to around one hundred meaningful possessions. Each sale became a symbolic act of liberation: converting material clutter into Bitcoin.
“Minimalism is not about less. It is about space for what matters, space for sovereignty.” - Brick by Brick
This process was more than decluttering. It was the conscious exchange of consumption for conviction, the realisation that freedom is not found in accumulation but in intention.
From Consumer Tech to Sovereign Infrastructure
Technology was once a weakness; it became a weapon. I rebuilt my entire digital foundation with a Proxmox-based server hosting my own Bitcoin node, BTCPay Server, and Ghost website, accessible on both Tor and the clearnet via twentyone.life. It was no longer about convenience but control, reclaiming my digital space from corporate surveillance.
“Every click tells a story, either of ownership or obedience.” - Brick by Brick
This new infrastructure now supports my writing, payments, and communication, fully under my control. My next step is migrating to Pop!_OS, an open-source operating system that aligns with my values of privacy and transparency.
From Social Media Noise to Focused Attention
One of the most difficult yet rewarding changes was my digital detox. I drastically reduced time spent on social media. Instead, I focused on learning, Bitcoin inheritance, nLockTime, privacy tech, and software development.
“Your attention is the scarcest resource you will ever own. Spend it on what compounds.” - Brick by Brick
With fewer distractions, I found the mental bandwidth to think deeply and write clearly. What I gained wasn’t silence, it was sovereignty over my own time.
From Compliance to Sovereignty
2025 was also a year of deep strategic thinking. I started preparing for the possibility of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and other forms of financial control in Europe. I realised that true sovereignty requires redundancy: in money, in communication, in energy, and in mindset.
“Sovereignty begins the moment you stop asking for permission to exist.” - Brick by Brick
This book is written for those who feel that something fundamental is broken, in money, health, or trust, and who are ready to reclaim control. It’s for those who value truth over comfort and seek a framework for living freely in a world designed for dependency.
If this resonates with you, reach out. Ask questions. Challenge ideas. Sovereignty is not isolation, it is connection through strength, example, and voluntary cooperation.
The book will be released on October 31st, Bitcoin White Paper Day, a symbolic moment of truth, freedom, and proof-of-work.
Real-Life Stories and Contributions
Part Four of Brick by Brick presents nine stories, nine living examples of sovereignty in action. These are the human proofs that Bitcoin is not just technology, but transformation.
1. Bram Kanstein - “Bitcoin for Millennials, Bitcoin for the Future” What began as quiet doubts about the financial system grew into conviction. Bram’s journey mirrors that of many: moving from questioning money to deliberately building a life on sound foundations.
2. Robin Seyr - “The Digital Soldier for Truth” Host of The Robin Seyr Podcast, Robin turned curiosity into calling. He became a voice for more than 500 Bitcoiners worldwide, proving that the fight for Bitcoin is not just about money, it is about truth itself.
3. Carlo (Isolabellart**) - “Art, Patience, and Freedom”** A painter who rediscovered his craft alongside his discovery of Bitcoin. Carlo’s story shows that art and sovereignty share the same essence: patience, discipline, and authenticity. His brushstrokes echo the rhythm of stacking sats.
4. Michael Hebenstreit 🟠 - “From Finance to Freedom” A veteran of traditional finance who dismissed Bitcoin until 2020 shattered his confidence in the old system. Through Austrian economics and Bitcoin, Michael found both compass and shield, a guide for wealth and life.
5. “The Grandmother Node” A woman in Germany who proved it’s never too late to change. From reading The Bitcoin Standard to improving her health and managing her inheritance in Bitcoin, Joyce’s story shows sovereignty at any age.
6. Stanley Okoye - “Time, Family, and the Dual Income Model” Stanley left finance to reclaim time with his son, building what he calls the Dual Income Business Model, one stream for security, one for freedom. Bitcoin became his anchor of truth in a world of infinite fiat.
7. Thomas Jeegers, CFA, FRM - “From Academia to Bitcoin Only” An economist who once lectured on money’s fragility but ignored Bitcoin. Years later, he recognised it as the sound money he had been seeking all along, leaving academia to dedicate his work fully to Bitcoin education.
8. Joyce Dawn (https://bitcoincomoxvalley.ca) - “Building Circular Economies” Through Bitcoin Comox Valley, Joyce transformed her personal conviction into community action, creating a local Bitcoin circular economy. Her journey proves that adoption grows through trust, not technology alone.
9. Jurjen de Vries (jurjendevries.com) - “From Friesland to Thailand” A grassroots builder who took Bitcoin to the streets, organising meetups, orange-pilling merchants, distributing 10,000 flyers, and raising his children on the Bitcoin standard. Jurjen’s journey is living proof that adoption happens step by step, merchant by merchant, and sometimes, ice cream by ice cream.
“These are not heroes or saints. They are ordinary people who refused to live by lies.” - Brick by Brick
Each of their stories adds weight to a single truth: Bitcoin changes people before it changes the world.
