Vanilla Cinnamon Pancakes

Served on pancake Sundays at my house. Basic tasty flavorful pancakes.

Chef’s notes

To make almond pancakes instead substitute 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract with 1 teaspoon of almond extract.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ teaspoons baking powders
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Cut butter into smaller pieces and place in a small bowl. Melt in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk egg, and melted butter
  4. Start mixing ingredients and add cinnamon and vanilla extra and continue mixing until smooth.
  5. Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat.
  6. Pour about ¼ to ⅓ cup for each pancake.
  7. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
