In the Moscow region, the average cost of AI-95 this week increased by 3.44 rubles, to 76.49 rubles, and AI-92 by 3.87 rubles, to 69.71 rubles. Previously, prices for these brands increased on average by 0.1–1 rubles per week. The average cost of diesel fuel jumped by 3.33 rubles, to 82.85 rubles per liter. The increase was the maximum since March. 🔵 Reasons. Market participants explain the price increase by a reduction in fuel supply. It has become more difficult for independent gas stations to purchase petroleum products, so they are forced to buy more expensive Belarusian gasoline. Large oil companies direct fuel to their own gas stations. Experts told the publication that the price surge was caused by "unscheduled refinery repairs, increased seasonal demand, and panic buying.". 🔵 Context.
