Bitcoin from the Soil, for the Soul
Building Bitcoin from the soil up.
Dear friends, it has come to my attention that I’ve ought to do something about my money situation. Over the recent years it has become very clear to me that many of us live in an economic sphere that is, I would say, dying. This is okay, all things natural have a rhythm of birthing and dying. And seeing this as it is, this dying economic sphere I’ve been living amidst for most of this lifetime thus far, I think it’s now time for me to adjust to a new sphere of economy for the wellbeing of myself and the greater community of people on Earth striving towards Truth.
Bitcoin exemplifies simplicity for me. It showcases a return to something tangible in its principles and operations. It is clearly definitive in nature. It knows it bounds. It says to the people, “here are your keys, do as you wish, I assume no responsibility for you… for that part is up to you to take care of”. It is pushing people towards responsibility again.
I feel empowered as I contemplate and imagine a world where I can utilize money again, in a real way, that holds real value. This paper ‘money’ I’ve known all my life has never represented anything real, other than a promise to pay with more promises to pay… it is, an utter fallacy. I don’t know how bitcoin will fit into my daily life yet, I do not know that it will last, I do not know how reliable it is knowing that I need power, energy, a high-tech device just to use it. That last part is unsettling to me at this point. Yet, I think humanity is headed in a direction where these things - power, electricity, high-tech devices are likely to stay and be around for sometime… that is my feeling. This feeling may prove to be correct, or, the times could change and all could go haywire. I do not know. Yet I feel empowered by the concepts, the principles and the simplicity of what Bitcoin is, as it stands today, as a digital money.
My goal is to build Bitcoin from the soil up, in my personal life, and for others. I do not find it suitable for myself to begin signing up on various platforms and brokerages simply to acquire some bitcoin. I am not particularly privy to sharing all my KYC information for god knows what purposes these companies use them for. And that’s okay, because with Bitcoin, I need not comply to anyone other than myself. And that’s where the beauty lies for me. I can, by my own volition, create a wallet, receive my keys, and, open thy wallet for it to receive Bitcoin. Just like how I can do such a thing in real life by opening my physical wallet so that I may receive physical money. Again, the simplicity of it and how it relates to realness and Truth, is where the beauty lies. I realize the world is going through a process of bifurcation - it is splitting in two. And I think it is Mankind’s task to walk the middle path, to unite aspects of the two paths in order to create the New Earth. This is where I feel called to incorporate aspects of technology into my daily life - such as bitcoin - because I think it is a digital equivalent to what is money in the physical. And, if we are to create this New Earth, we ought to learn to live between two worlds as we create the new one. I think this is what it is all about for me. As it was stated in the film Hummingbird: The Bitcoin Jungle Story, Bitcoin is a natural phenomenon, in terms of how it requires energy, work and electricity to operate. I think this is true. I think also, that physical money is also a natural phenomena, whether we are using gold, silver, shells or some other object - that object requires energy to obtain it, work to transmit it and people to transact with it. Even if money is not a physical object in a society in the form of an object, there is still the reality of the economic sphere taking place in one form or another. No one has to go through a third party for REAL money to work. It works itself out.
That is my premise for this post… it works itself out. The people retain the power. The power is inherent in the people. Bitcoin is what Bitcoin is, unhindered by any external factors or influences. The people will dictate how they use it. The people will be responsible for its use. Unlike the U.S. ‘Dollar’ that can only promise to pay with more promises to pay.
Next steps for me are to learn how to self-custody Bitcoin in a way that I can comprehend. I’m looking into the SeedSigner company to build my own wallet device… I like knowing the how’s and why’s of things and I enjoy DIY projects. I think that’s what they are all about… I will look more into it. For now, I shall use cash as much as possible and continue learning about Bitcoin. I plan to visit Costa Rica again this year and wish to get involved in using BTC for the farmers market and transacting while I am there, as that sounds amazing. To be supporting real people, real communities, real money and supporting the land, Mother Earth all along the way.
One step at a time.
Thanks for reading.
Wishing you all the best as always,
