Don't Overpay for Braiins Hashpower
In this article I assume you already know how to use Braiins Hashpower and rent hashrate from hashers to mine blocks. If you want to learn how to do that first, check out this article:
I’ve noticed that some people on Braiins Hashpower are placing orders that overpay for hashrate — and getting nothing extra for it.

The confusion, I think, comes from treating the order book like a traditional exchange pair market — where you can’t really overpay. Braiins Hashpower doesn’t work that way.

On the ask side, you see the minimum price hashers are willing to sell at. On the bid side, you see what buyers are offering to pay. Braiins Hashpower fills bid orders from the top down — starting with the highest bids and working lower until it hits the hashers’ ask price or all available hashrate is allocated.
There is no market price in the traditional sense.
If you scroll down the bid side, you’ll see a range highlighted in green. All the green bids are actively receiving hashrate right now — meaning you can place your order anywhere in that range and still get filled. The key insight: there’s no benefit to bidding higher than the lowest green bid. Place your order as low as possible to maximize your returns and leave room to cycle more capital.

The easiest way to place a bid is to go to the bids side of the order book, find a good low price in the green zone, and click the small “+” icon next to it. That pre-fills the price for you — no need to type it in manually.
Key takeaways:
- You can place your order anywhere in the green zone and still receive hashrate.
- Bid as low as possible — you’re leaving money on the table by bidding higher than necessary.
- Use the “+” icon to place orders quickly without entering prices by hand.
- Placing your bid below the Hash Value line means you’re mining at a profit. Watch for those windows and don’t let them pass.
