The Birth of Jesus

This post was overdue, I’ve been thinking, researching, and rethinking for weeks. Finally pulled the plug, and I’m proud of it! I’ll probably add more of my drawings later (got carried away with the history hehe).

The more I dive into religion (especially Jesus) the more in awe I am. He becomes a carved-out person, vividly human. All that humanity stripped from him, Mary, and everyone in his story… it’s heartbreaking, but also inspiring.

As James D. Tabor might say (paraphrasing): Everyone deserves to know their history — even Jesus. I’m fascinated by it. Whatever your faith (or none), I hope this offers a fresh lens on his birth, like it did for me.

Wishing you the most beautiful holidays. Thank you for joining me in this journey throughout the year. Good morning, good evening, and good night! 🥰🌙

Thanks for this. I’m really glad that you (obviously) took so much time looking into Jesus’ life, and seriously contemplating all the things so many people have said about him.

I also find the timing of your publication, strangely appropriate in the aftermath of Christmas, our annual holiday commemorating Jesus, but which–for most people–is more a whirlwind of frenetic activity. Your peace arrives during a period when many people are in a contemplative mood with some time to think about these things. So thank you.🙏😀

I love how you point to and focus on Jesus’ family and the ominous clouds of the time he lived in. This is background for which I am also grateful. Christmas does tend to pull families together in an age that is working full-speed to tear them apart.

You’ve left the evaluation of who Jesus really is to each of your readers; fair, as ultimately it is up to each of us to come to our own conclusion. I long ago (along with the Apostle John) have concluded that Jesus is, in utter truth, the Creator God who formed all of us.

I’ll also take this opportunity to mention CS Lewis’ astute observation… Jesus cannot be seen as a mere man and a good teacher. He was either a liar or a lunatic or–as I and many millions of others have concluded–he must needs be the embodiment of Truth, the Lord and King of all.

You’ve mentioned his Kingdom teachings. I think those are teachings that have been deliberately suppressed in our day, even by the church at large. And so, I’d like to share with you and your readers my writings about his Kingdom teachings, as well as some writings about why and how those have been suppressed by what I call it the Powers That Shouldn’t Be.

Thanks again for your work.🙏🫂💖🥰😀👍 https://peakd.com/library/@creatr/the-kingdom-of-jesus-god-the-heavens-my-library-shelf https://peakd.com/library/@creatr/the-curmudgeon-s-bible-my-library-shelf
