Transportation Department — FMCSA proposes to implement a user fee as authorized by Congress in the "Strengthening the Commercial Driver's License Information System Act" applicable to State driver licensing agencies (SDLAs) for accessing the Commercial Driver's License Information System (CDLIS). The fees would be collected by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA), the organization that represents the State agencies responsible for complying with the Federal regulations concerning the commercial driver's license (CDL) program.
