📖 I asked 5 Bitcoiners about bitcoin. Here's what they said.

The Bitcoin community is global and growing. Here's how to connect locally.

Bitcoin meetups happen in almost every city. Here’s how to find yours and why they matter:

Where to Look

  1. Nostr — search #meetup or ask your local Bitcoiners
  2. Meetup.com — search “Bitcoin [your city]”
  3. Telegram — Bitcoin [city] groups exist everywhere
  4. Signal — encrypted local groups

What Meetups Look Like

  • Small (5-20 people): Coffee shop, casual conversation
  • Medium (20-50): Restaurant or rented space, maybe a presentation
  • Large (50+): Conference-style with speakers

Types of Meetups

  • Beginner friendly: “Orange Pill” intro sessions
  • Technical: Node running workshops, Lightning channel parties
  • Social: Bitcoin pub nights, pizza for sats gatherings

What to Expect

  • Open to everyone
  • Usually free (maybe buy a round)
  • Full of people happy to answer questions
  • Great for networking

Organizing Your Own If none exist near you:

  1. Pick a venue (coffee shop works)
  2. Set a recurring time (first Tuesday?)
  3. Post everywhere
  4. Bring stickers

Someone has to be first. Why not you?
